ATLANTA--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--To aid with disaster relief efforts for people affected by events such as the flooding in Colorado, and to acknowledge the anniversary of Hurricane Sandy, Vocalocity has kicked-off a four-month partnership with the American Red Cross. From October 2013 through January 2014, Vocalocity will donate five percent of new account’s first-month service charges.
“At Vocalocity, we firmly believe that success is not only defined by how many businesses we can help, but also how we can contribute in their communities”
“At Vocalocity, we firmly believe that success is not only defined by how many businesses we can help, but also how we can contribute in their communities,” said Wain Kellum, Vocalocity CEO. “The American Red Cross has identified disaster relief as the first of five key service areas. The unique ability of our phone service to keep people connected when these types of disasters occur, most recently the floods in Colorado, gives us a special connection to the work that the American Red Cross is doing and motivated us to want to do more to help.”
In addition to this financial donation, Vocalocity will be working with the American Red Cross to train and certify employees on First Aid and CPR, send letters to active military service men and women, contribute to the January 2014 blood drive and support a variety of other important volunteer efforts.
“We are always excited to bring on new partners from the business community, especially when their products or services align with our mission,” said Terri Badour-Duckett, CEO of the Georgia Red Cross. “Vocalocity’s generous donation will enhance our ability to provide help, hope and comfort to those in disaster- affected communities.”
For more than 130 years, the American Red Cross has been helping people globally and in the United States with nearly 600 chapters across the U.S. Last year, American Red Cross supplied 9,940,325 meals and 6,883,648 relief items.
