WASHINGTON--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--WoodWorks, an educational initiative providing free technical support and resources related to the design and construction of non-residential and multi-family wood buildings, has extended the nomination deadline for its 2014 U.S. Wood Design Awards. The awards celebrate excellence and innovation across eight categories. The extended deadline for nominations is October 15.
Projects may be submitted in the following categories:
- Institutional Wood Design
- Wood School Design
- Commercial Wood Design
- Multi-Story Wood Design
- Beauty of Wood
- Green Building with Wood
- Traditional Use of Wood
- Innovative Wood Engineering

Deadline and Eligibility
Award submissions must be received by midnight on October 15, 2013. There are no project nomination fees, and multiple submissions are encouraged. To be eligible, projects or their design/construction firms must be located in the U.S. or its territories and projects must be fully constructed by October 15, 2013.
