KEMP, Texas--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Larson Electronics has announced the release of a low voltage drop light that provides explosion proof protection and the ability to operate from the 230 VAC current commonly used outside of the United States.
“The EPL-230X24VAC-100 is a new addition to our group of string lights; this drop light gives operators the ability to step down 230 VAC to 24 VDC to provide low voltage lighting up to 300’ away from power sources”
The Larson Electronics EPL-230X24VAC-100 explosion proof hand lamp is a low voltage U.L. approved explosion proof drop light that provides low voltage operation combined with the ability to run from 230 VAC current. This explosion proof light features a lightweight yet rugged housing formed from copper free aluminum, rubber bumper guard for added protection against impacts, and an inline step down transformer that allows the user to power the low voltage lamp from high voltage 230 VAC electrical current. The lamp is protected by an aluminum cage and a heat and impact resistant lens for added reliability. This explosion proof drop light is fitted with 100 feet of SOOW cord and has a step down transformer installed inline for convenience and easy operation. The transformer on this unit steps down 230 VAC current to 24 VAC or 24 VDC, also depending upon the operators’ choice of configurations, giving operators the ability to provide low voltage lighting in locations where only high voltage power sources are available. Since 230 VAC is most commonly used in countries outside of North America, this light ships without a plug, allowing operators to equip the unit with a plug that is relevant to their particular region. This hazardous location work light is ideal for inspection work, close work inside containers and tanks, and in industrial locations where a versatile and convenient source of illumination running with low voltage lamps is desired.
“The EPL-230X24VAC-100 is a new addition to our group of string lights; this drop light gives operators the ability to step down 230 VAC to 24 VDC to provide low voltage lighting up to 300’ away from power sources,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics’ Magnalight.com. “This Class 1 & 2 Division 1 & 2 explosion proof hand light provides portable light within classified locations that require low voltage.”
