IRVINE, Calif.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Opus Bank (“Opus” or the “Bank”) announced today the launch of its expansion into Arizona, making it the next state in the Western region in which entrepreneurs, business owners, real estate investors, and professionals receive Opus’ much needed consultative approach to the delivery of customized relationship-based banking products, services, and solutions. Opus’ expansion into Arizona will begin with the opening of banking offices in Paradise Valley/Phoenix and Scottsdale, located in Maricopa County, and will be Opus Bank’s 59th and 60th banking offices. The two new banking offices are a continuation of the Bank’s planned organic growth, which includes the opening of banking offices and the expansion of client relationships in major metropolitan markets throughout the Western region.
“With Opus’ focus on Commercial Business, Income Property, Healthcare, Technology, Fiduciary, and Retail Banking, we are committed to delivering tailored loan, depository, and treasury/cash management products, services, and solutions, with an entrepreneurial approach, to those with the vision and ability to expand and grow.”
Stephen H. Gordon, founding Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Opus Bank, stated, “I am very pleased to announce the opening of our first two banking offices in the Phoenix metro area. As the fastest growing bank in the Western region, and as a former long-time Scottsdale/Paradise Valley resident, Opus and I have an acute understanding of the significant need for a strong bank to step up and meet the financial needs of The Valley’s entrepreneurs, small and mid-sized businesses, real estate investors, and professionals. Arizona in general, and Maricopa County in particular, have long been impacted by cyclical real estate downturns, which have had a dramatic effect on the region’s economy and the state’s banking system.” Gordon added, “Arizona has experienced cycles of extremes that have culminated in numerous bank failures, which now leave businesses and consumers with few options besides the large, out of state, money center banks and a handful of small local banks. Opus fills a significant void between these two extremes. With $3.2 billion of total assets, more than $550 million of equity, and over 500 experienced bankers, Opus Bank has the depth, breadth, and financial strength necessary to support our clients’ needs, while still maintaining our relationship-based, client-centric, banking culture.” Gordon concluded, “With Opus’ focus on Commercial Business, Income Property, Healthcare, Technology, Fiduciary, and Retail Banking, we are committed to delivering tailored loan, depository, and treasury/cash management products, services, and solutions, with an entrepreneurial approach, to those with the vision and ability to expand and grow.”
