ST. PAUL, Minn.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH®) is pleased to announce Jay Hietpas as the Regional Practice Center Leader (RPCL) of SEH’s new central region construction services practice.
Jay is a professional civil engineer with a background in transportation project management and contracting, and brings a high level of expertise in developing and implementing innovative service delivery methods. In his new role, Jay will enhance SEH’s competitive advantage in the industry by expanding and aligning resources according to growing demand in highway design, civil, wastewater, and aviation construction services markets. As RPCL Jay will oversee professional development of staff, further client relationships, and be responsible for developing new public and private sector construction and survey opportunities.
Prior to joining SEH and for the past four years, Jay served as the Director of Innovative Contracting in the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) Office of Construction and Innovative Contracting. In this position Jay was responsible for strategic development of new project delivery tools and contracting mechanisms such as design-build. Jay also brings experience working as a design and construction project manager at MnDOT and the private industry.
Jay holds a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and is a licensed engineer in the State of Minnesota. He is an active member of the Minnesota Surveyors and Engineers Society (MSES) and Design Build Institute of America (DBIA).
