Phun&Dunn partnered with Metaio and ApptitudeDigital to create ‘Summon the Chouffe’ available in iTunes stores and Google Play.

Chouffe is a storied family of beers, highly regarded by beer enthusiasts for both for its status among Belgium’s finest-tasting brews, and for its gnome-centric spirit of fun. Each beer – La Chouffe, Houblon Chouffe and Mc Chouffe – evokes a different part of a gnome legend and lore that stretches back over 6,666 years. The ‘Summon the Chouffe’ application is a highly engaging way to tell these stories.

The application uses markerless AR technology developed by Metaio, allowing our gnome imagery and artwork to come to life when viewed through smartphone cameras. So every Chouffe coaster, poster, sticker and even the gnomes themselves now trigger animated tales recounting each beer’s backstory.
The Summon the Chouffe app also leverages a crowd favorite; Gnome Thyself. By inserting your selfie or snapshot of a friend into the various Gnome backgrounds, anyone can now live amongst the littlest beer spirits!
