MINNEAPOLIS--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Loren Brown, senior vice president and chief information officer of Capella Education Company, a provider of online post-secondary education through its wholly owned subsidiary Capella University, has been named a 2013 CIO of the Year honoree. Brown will be honored at the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s third-annual CIO of the Year Awards luncheon on Sept. 19 at the Hyatt Minneapolis.

Honorees were selected by a panel of outside judges who scored them on criteria ranging from use of innovative technologies to communication skills and community involvement.
