SAN FRANCISCO--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Audioboo Ltd., the U.K.-based mobile-and-web platform that combines the power of social media with user-friendly audio recording and sharing tools, today announced that it is partnering with Edmodo, the free and secure K-12 social learning platform, to provide schools with a wide range of audio content for enhanced learning.
“We expect it to significantly expand our worldwide audience and to provide a strong foundation for our expansion into the U.S. education market.”
Audioboo’s secure audio-based learning application – now available through the Edmodo app store – allows smartphone and computer users to make and share digital recordings, and to access thousands of pre-recorded audio programs within Edmodo’s online environment. Edmodo, which resembles Facebook or other social media sites, provides a safe, password-protected venue for more than 20 million teachers and students from around the globe to collaborate and share ideas.
The partnership is part of Audioboo’s new Audioboo for Education initiative, which is creating stand-alone application products that can be used inside platforms for content distribution. Based on the company’s commitment to enhance students’ audio-learning opportunities, the initiative will leverage the power of audio to enrich the learning experience for students and educators, while encouraging conversation and debate.
“We’re extremely pleased to be starting this promising new partnership with Edmodo,” said Lucy Carter, head of Audioboo’s Education Division. “We expect it to significantly expand our worldwide audience and to provide a strong foundation for our expansion into the U.S. education market.”
