ST. LOUIS--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--The Metrics Champion Consortium (MCC), the world’s leading association in pharmaceutical R&D metrics, announced today that it has developed a training and certification program for standardized performance metrics. Each course is designed and led by one of the world's experts on pharmaceutical development metrics, Dave Zuckerman. Training programs start on Sept 23, 2013.
“Members have asked us for a guide to getting started using metrics. We’ve now put together courses for both MCC members and non-members, although members receive a substantial discount on registration fees. We are proud to be able to provide this solution with such an experienced educator”
The MCC is made up of industry volunteer working groups that develop metrics and process improvement tools for the key aspects of a clinical trial. The pharmaceutical industry has adopted performance metrics as a key improvement tool, but company adoption is a challenge. “Members have asked us for a guide to getting started using metrics. We’ve now put together courses for both MCC members and non-members, although members receive a substantial discount on registration fees. We are proud to be able to provide this solution with such an experienced educator,” said Linda Sullivan, COO, MCC.
The MCC team has developed individual training courses that make up the Metrics Certification Program. Each web-based course is a building block to earn the certifications: MCC Metrics Master and MCC Metrics Leader. These courses strengthen a clinical trial professional’s ability to effectively use standardized metrics. ACRP has approved CEUs for these courses.
“I am honored to help the industry get started using metrics in their organizations. You do not have to be an MCC member to take part in the courses and certification program. The first two courses help you use metrics effectively and make startling improvements to your performance,” said Dave Zuckerman, CEO, MCC. Each course is in webinar format. The first live events start September 23. Recordings are available afterwards. MCC 100: Introduction to Metrics and MCC 101: How Do I Get Started Using Metrics In My Organization?
