LAKE FOREST, Ill.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Meridian Compensation Partners, LLC, a leading executive compensation and corporate governance consulting firm, announced today that the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) has recognized managing partners Michael Powers and Jim Wolf as being among the nation’s most influential leaders in corporate governance.
“We are very pleased to see them recognized by the NACD.”
Mr. Powers and Mr. Wolf were named to the NACD Directorship 100 list, which honors top corporate directors and governance leaders who exert a significant influence on boardroom practices and performance. Mr. Powers working out of Lake Forest, Illinois and Mr. Wolf out of The Woodlands, Texas are recognized in the 2013 list, in the category of Governance Professionals and Institutions, for demonstrating integrity, mature confidence, high performance standards and informed judgment. The NACD, the only membership organization focused exclusively on advancing exemplary board leadership, has issued its Directorship 100 list for nearly three decades.
Mr. Powers has over 25 years of experience consulting on executive compensation design issues at the board of director level. He has testified to the U.S. Congress, the SEC and the FASB on executive pay and governance issues, and is a current member of the Compensation Committee Leadership Network. Mr. Powers is a frequent lecturer at national conferences and is the author of many articles on corporate governance in industry publications. His client relationships are primarily with boards of large cap companies.
Mr. Wolf has over 20 years of experience in providing consulting services to private and public organizations, ranging from Fortune 100 companies to recent start-ups. He serves prominent organizations in the oil and gas, engineering and construction and transportation industries in the areas of executive compensation, governance and performance-based pay. Mr. Wolf speaks frequently on compensation and governance strategies, and the alignment of compensation with performance in commodity-based businesses.
The inclusion of Mr. Powers and Mr. Wolf to NACD’s 2013 list of most influential leaders in corporate governance reflects Meridian’s commitment to integrity, keen business insight and strong leadership. “Michael and Jim demonstrate the expertise, analytical thinking and adherence to good governance practices that makes Meridian an important and trusted partner to our clients,” said Bob Romanchek, partner at Meridian. “We are very pleased to see them recognized by the NACD.”
