Amit will add value immediately to our global equity income, alternative income, and global asset allocation solutions so important in the marketplace today. Because we all had worked together for years prior, we have first-hand knowledge of Amit’s robust and proven quantitative process. His skill set will allow us to bring new, innovative global equity strategies to the market.”
Dr. Chandra stated: “I am delighted to join Crow Point and work once again with my former colleagues. The combination of Crow Point’s deep fundamental expertise in important income-generating sectors with a quantitative skill set allows us to bring unique, rules-based strategies to the market. Crow Point has built compelling solutions for those investors seeking alternative income and global equity income strategies that are so relevant in the low-yield, high-volatility market environment that exists now.”
Dr. Chandra started his professional career in academia at the Stillman School of Business of Seton Hall University, where his research interests focused on the return-generating mechanism of stocks and the Arbitrage Pricing Theory. He then served as the Director of Quantitative Research and Head of Global Asset Allocation at Aeltus. Subsequently he served in progressively greater roles at Evergreen Investments, Wells Capital Management and Golden Capital Management. Through these various roles, he continued to maintain direct oversight of and a hands-on role in the development and management of quantitative models.
