MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--UCare, Minnesota’s fourth-largest health plan, is expanding its range of health care coverage choices for Minnesotans with its introduction this fall of UCare Choices, the health plan’s first consumer market health plan.

UCare Choices comprises six new health products that will be available on the MNsure health insurance marketplace on Oct. 1, 2013.

UCare Choices plans offer a wide range of health coverage options to individuals shopping for coverage. The plans – offered as Core, Bronze, Silver, and Gold – are designed for individuals ages 0-64 and families of varying income and household size in 23 Minnesota counties: Aitkin, Anoka, Benton, Carlton, Carver, Chisago, Cook, Crow Wing, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Kanabec, Lake, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Pine, Ramsey, Saint Louis, Scott, Sherburne, Stearns, Washington, and Wright.
To help consumers learn about MNsure, UCare is conducting free information meetings across the UCare Choices service area. UCare also is conducting an advertising campaign and has launched an innovative website, www.ucarechoices.org, where the public can turn for MNsure and product information.
Two Fairview UCare Choices plans among mix of six products for Twin Cities area
UCare is partnering with Fairview Health Services to offer Fairview UCare Choices Bronze and Silver health coverage products in eight metro counties: Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Sherburne, Dakota, and Washington. Consumers in this service area can choose among the two Fairview UCare Choices plans and the UCare Choices Core, Bronze, Silver, and Gold plans that also will be available in the metropolitan area. Fairview UCare Choices members will obtain their health care exclusively from Fairview’s broad provider networks and wide range of physicians, specialists, and hospitals.
Fairview Health Services is a nonprofit health care system based in Minneapolis which provides primary and specialty care health care through independent clinic partners at more than 200 locations.
