(NYSE: JMP), an investment banking and alternative asset management firm, announced today that Chip Wadsworth has joined JMP Securities as a managing director and co-director of equity capital markets. Based in the firm’s San Francisco headquarters, Mr. Wadsworth will assist publicly traded and privately held companies in the evaluation and structuring of equity offerings and equity-linked transactions.

Prior to joining JMP Securities, Mr. Wadsworth was a managing director and head of technology, media and telecommunications equity capital markets at UBS Investment Bank. He previously served in various equity capital markets capacities at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and its successor, Credit Suisse First Boston, concluding his tenure there as a senior calling officer with coverage of technology clients. Mr. Wadsworth holds an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a BA from Middlebury College.
