“I would like to thank the National Kidney Foundation for selecting me to emcee the LA Kidney Walk,” said Lopez. “I am honored to be part of this important event to help raise awareness about kidney disease, healthy lifestyle choices, organ donation and the importance of early screening.”
"According to a report released this summer, 59% of all Americans are at risk of developing kidney disease in their lifetime,” said Pier Merone, Division President, National Kidney Foundation Serving Southern California and Southern Nevada. “The LA Kidney Walk provides us with the opportunity to raise awareness about the millions of people locally who are at risk of developing kidney disease and the more than 17,000 waiting for a kidney transplant.”
