PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Elemental Technologies, the leading supplier of video solutions for multiscreen content delivery, and Teleste, a leading provider of video and broadband technologies and services, today announced the deployment of an integrated multiscreen solution for Anvia TV, a national TV operator in Finland.
“Our strategy is designed to meet their expectations and we have noticed that our customers appreciate the choices we have made. Teleste’s multiscreen solution, powered by Elemental Technologies, is the perfect tool for us to execute our strategy as planned and deliver what our customers value most.”
Earlier this year, Teleste and Elemental began co-marketing activities targeting the cable industry in Europe. The co-branded Teleste Optimo transcoder is a part of Teleste’s multiscreen solution for distributing TV channels and video services on DVB, IPTV and over-the-top television (OTT) networks. Transcoding is powered by Elemental® Live video processing software to provide real-time video and audio encoding for linear pay TV broadcast as well as live streaming to new media platforms.
The solution streams content for all-IP video delivery from the headend to homes for viewing on set-top boxes, PCs, and smart phones and tablets. Using Optimo transcoding technology, Anvia TV smoothly transitioned to a fully IP-based video infrastructure and expanded operations to support multiscreen services.
“Our customers expect premium-class services when it comes to the quality of the video content itself and the sophisticated functionality of the video provision infrastructure,” said Marianne Hynninen, CEO of Anvia TV. “Our strategy is designed to meet their expectations and we have noticed that our customers appreciate the choices we have made. Teleste’s multiscreen solution, powered by Elemental Technologies, is the perfect tool for us to execute our strategy as planned and deliver what our customers value most.”
“We are honored to support Anvia TV’s innovative, cutting-edge IPTV and multiscreen services,” said Harri Pietilä, VP of Video Service Platforms for Teleste. “Our objective is to leverage the best technologies available in a completely integrated solution that eases pay TV providers’ transition to all-IP, multiscreen-ready infrastructures and delivers an excellent viewing experience for consumers. For video processing, our choice is Elemental.”
“Anvia TV has a long and successful history as a pay TV operator. In partnership with Teleste, we hope to support the company as it moves into a new era of leadership,” said Keith Wymbs, VP of Marketing for Elemental. “We are confident that our partnership with Teleste, a major powerhouse in the European cable market, will facilitate a smooth and efficient transition to all-IP and multiscreen-ready infrastructures for cable and telco companies across Europe.”
Teleste will bring forward its proven and compatible products that ensure an easy transition to an all-IP network on stand 4.B77 in Hall 4 of the RAI conference center in Amsterdam, September 13 – 17. For more information about Teleste at IBC, please click here.
