LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Two time Inc. 500 winner, Tim Fargo says, "I want to share the freedom I have gotten with the world." Adding, "The reality is that there is nothing in Alphabet Success most people don't know already, but the majority of people don't apply that knowledge on a consistent basis. Therein lies the key to getting what you want."
“Yes, but it is not in the immediate future, and if people are serious about reaching their dreams I'd suggest they stop making excuses, and put forth the rather minimal effort my book requires now.”
But to ensure people have the opportunity to be reminded of their knowledge and power, Fargo is offering his book for free on September 10th, 2013, the 10 year anniversary of the sale of his former business, Omega Insurance Services. He says, "It seems fitting to offer people the opportunity to get what they want out of life on the anniversary of my achieving one of my major goals."
Quoting Gandhi, Fargo reminds us: "Your actions become your habits, your habits become your values, your values become your destiny." Reflecting his belief that success is driven from a powerful set of core values, that he likes to call "the glue."
Fargo adds, "It sounds like a bit of a joke, calling a value set 'glue,' but the reality is that our values are what hold us together, and form our character. Without that core, or foundation, we tend to come apart."
But he cautions would be success seekers, "There is no magic formula, or dreamy algorithm that yields success. It isn't a bus or plane you can buy a ticket for or ride on. You have to take the steps every day. Nobody is going to do it for you." Further stating, "I can give you a recipe, but you need to 'bake the cake.' That means gathering ingredients, mixing, baking, and sometimes getting a poor result. So you look at the results and alter things a bit, and do it again. Repeating the process over and over. Slowly, but surely you make progress toward your ideal 'cake.'"
By downloading Tim's book for free on September 10th, Tim is trying to get you started on the road to your dreams, to your "cake."
Anyone worried about the hard work of building a business can be reassured by a couple of points Fargo makes repeatedly. The first is, "Get it done, but make it fun." Reflecting Tim's belief that if you aren't enjoying the journey, you probably won't stay with it.
The second assertion is, "You don't get any points in life by doing things the hard way." Fargo believes strongly that people tend to be the biggest obstacle in their own lives. Adding to this, "We all tend to get a bit tangled up and complicating things. We need to strive for simplicity in all we do." Reminding us of Thoreau's quote, "Our life is frittered away by detail, simplify, simplify."
Fargo summarizes, "Look: I'm giving the book for free. It is a remarkably short 78 pages so you won't devote a ton of time reading it, and I assure you, that the basic principles in the book are central aspects to getting what you want in life. You are responsible for downloading the book, reading it, and then applying it. If you can't make that work, you may need to examine your level of motivation. At some point you need to get off your ass and make it happen."
When asked about whether he has plans for an audio book Fargo responds, "Yes, but it is not in the immediate future, and if people are serious about reaching their dreams I'd suggest they stop making excuses, and put forth the rather minimal effort my book requires now."
