VIENNA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Criterion Systems, a systems integrator providing innovative, technology-enabled business solutions to government agencies, today announced the acquisition of TEM Solutions and an Alliant Small Business prime contract. Financial details of the acquisition are not being released.
“Criterion is committed to making the corporate investments required to grow our business and provide government customers with innovative technical solutions”
The Alliant Small Business Government wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) is a competitive multiple award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) small business contract. To date, more than $3.5 billion of contracts have been awarded under this vehicle. Criterion has the knowledge, experience, and people required to deliver exceptional information technology services and solutions and successfully perform the requirements associated with GSA Alliant SB tasks.
Criterion will be able to certify as a small business during the five-year option period of the Alliant Small Business contract, beginning February 3, 2014.
“Criterion is committed to making the corporate investments required to grow our business and provide government customers with innovative technical solutions,” said Promod Sharma, President and CEO of Criterion. “The acquisition of TEM and the Alliant Small Business contract helps expand our business base and provides another vehicle to pursue the nearly $500 million worth of opportunities in our current pipeline.”
“As we approach the first option period of the contract early next year, a number of the original winners will graduate from small business – Criterion will be one of the few mature small businesses with proven past performances to remain on the vehicle, meaning that agencies can access quality technical solutions and still receive small business credit upon contract award,” concluded Sharma.
In addition to the TEM acquisition, Criterion continues to invest in the maturation of the company’s quality and business practices. Earlier this year, Criterion earned three International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certifications: ISO 9001:2008, ISO 20000-1:2011 and ISO 27001:2005.
