MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life) announced today that it has been declared a Yellow Ribbon Company by the state of Minnesota. Allianz Life is one of 28 Minnesota organizations proclaimed a Yellow Ribbon Company because of its long-term commitment to supporting service members, veterans and military families through company-wide engagement programs, employee outreach and recruitment strategies.
“Our company values the true heart of our employees and those who sacrifice so much; we are proud to accept this honor.”
The Yellow Ribbon Company recognition program creates public awareness and connects organizations demonstrating their commitment to military employees and local communities. These companies show military support through their recruiting efforts, military hiring and vocational transition services for veterans returning to the workplace. Beyond corporate sponsored programs, Yellow Ribbon Companies are also recognized for their efforts in honoring and embracing the families and employees affected by military deployments thus supporting stronger overall results for the customer.
“We greatly respect those who defend our freedoms and are committed to supporting military-friendly business practices,” said Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary, Neil McKay. “Our company values the true heart of our employees and those who sacrifice so much; we are proud to accept this honor.”
The proclamation, signed by Gov. Mark Dayton, was presented to Allianz Life by the Army National Guard Brig. Gen. William Lieder, during a ceremony held today at Allianz Life’s Golden Valley campus. Allianz Life has a long history of supporting military service and has received recognition for its support since 2002. The company facilitates various programs including donation drives for deployed service members, ongoing financial and community support for family members of deployed employees, and internal policy alignment ensuring ongoing support.
