“With these additions to our existing talented staff, we continue to build our multidisciplinary team in order to connect people, places and brands in meaningful ways,” said David Galullo, CEO and design principal of Rapt Studio, which counts Google, Adobe, VF Corp. and others as clients. “We are thrilled to have Louis, Mike, Sam, Greg, Ed and Andrew on board, and they will each play an integral role in executing our vision to turn brands into movements and employees into believers.”
As principal, Schump will be responsible for assisting Rapt's clients in shaping strategy and leading key interior design projects in the corporate and commercial markets. With over two decades of experience in the architecture and design industries, Schump has a strong background in workplace design, with past clients including Gunderson Dettmer, Blue Shield of California, Biomarin and True Ventures. Schump designs spaces with a keen understanding of how building inhabitants interact with their environments on issues ranging from collaboration to energy consumption and management.
MacDonald has a stellar track record of creating successful solutions for complex projects under accelerated schedules, which will serve him well as he coordinates with all members of the project team. His previous work includes a focus on the implementation of sustainable technologies and the use of alternative construction methods to achieve unique and creative architectural solutions.
Gray brings an award-winning design background to his position as art director. He previously served as a senior designer at VSA Partners, where his portfolio included such prestigious clients as Google, IBM and Sony. Prior to this Gray worked as a graphic designer at Vivint, which commissioned Rapt to design its headquarters.
Fox will lend his writing and strategic services to develop effective branding for Rapt’s client base. He was most recently a copywriter at McCann Erickson, where he produced work on broadcast, digital and print mediums for Verizon Wireless, Intel, AOL and others. Prior to McCann Erickson, Fox was a copywriter at XANGO, a global wellness and network-marketing company.
In his business development capacity, Hall will seek to continue Rapt’s pattern of rapid growth by securing new business opportunities and partnerships. As an architectural designer at Rapt, Hall worked on a variety of projects for Apple, The North Face, Heroku, Ancestry.com and others. Hall leverages his background in custom residential design and construction to effectively translate design ideas into experiential, functional and well-executed spaces.
As marketing director, Garlock will draw upon his experience in strategic marketing to publicize Rapt’s increased offering of interdisciplinary design services. He previously served as a marketing communication specialist at 3form, a leading manufacturer for the architecture and design industry, and as an account manager at the award-winning creative agency Struck.
