SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The San Francisco Association of REALTORS® is proud to announce earning national recognition for its issue-and candidate-related political independent expenditure campaigns, created for the express purpose of promoting homeownership and private property rights. The Association took home 34 Pollie Awards during the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) 2013 Pollie Awards and Conference held April 3-5, in Washington, D.C.
Competition for the awards is fierce because the country’s most prestigious political consultants submit their work for judging, including those who run political campaigns at the presidential, gubernatorial, congressional, state and local levels. The contest draws the best of the best in political advertising and communications. Esquire called the Pollies, “the Oscars of political advertising.”
The Association’s wins included 9 Gold Awards, 10 Silver Awards, 10 Bronze Awards and 5 Honorable Mentions for a variety of direct mail, Internet, illustration, newspaper and video campaigns. The Association’s direct mailing, “Visit from Tax Collector,” opposing a tax rate increase on homeowners who sell their properties, garnered six Gold Awards, three Silver Awards, two Bronze Awards and one Honorable Mention.
