SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MacKenzie Communications, a San Francisco-based strategic marketing and creative services firm, today announced that public relations industry veteran Jeff Raleigh has been named Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this newly created position, Raleigh will be responsible for overseeing operations, as well as client services.

Raleigh has a 30-plus year background in communications and public relations. He began his career with one of the world’s largest public relations firms, Hill & Knowlton, starting in its San Francisco office and serving two stints as general manager. Most recently, Raleigh was the senior communications counsel to the US Mission to Afghanistan, the senior communications counselor to Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf, the head of a counter narcotics program in Afghanistan, and a strategic engagement consultant with the Department of Defense. Raleigh is also an adjunct professor at University of Southern California, Annenberg School of Communications.
