FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Celebrating its 20th year, NAPE Expo, the world’s largest E&P (upstream) expo, is again bringing together oil and gas industry leaders and experts to its Business Conference to be held Wednesday, February 6, 2013, during Winter NAPE Expo. This year’s theme, “Transforming the Energy Landscape,” will discuss how the growth and evolution of the United States’ unconventional boom has and will continue to have huge impacts on the economy, job creation and the revitalization of energy dependent industries, while also tackling how these dynamics will coexist with community, environmental, logistics and policy issues. And this meeting will provide context for the NAPE Expo opportunities on showcase Thursday and Friday in the NAPE Expo.

This year, 2013 Winter Expo is slated for February 5-8, 2013 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. Sponsored by IHS Inc., the leading global source of insight, information and analysis, the Business Conference is held the day before the Expo floor opens. It begins at 8 a.m. and will run until 5 p.m. followed by the “Icebreaker,” a networking reception.
The 2013 Business Conference will feature breakout sessions and panel discussions to address a broad spectrum of energy issues. In the opening keynote session, industry leaders will share their insights on the energy landscape followed by a panel discussion, “The Dialogue on Energy,” to discuss policy and regulatory issues. In the afternoon, senior executives will share their insight on how expanding unconventional oil and gas supplies and infrastructure are transforming the energy landscape. Experts in the final panel will present their views on how technologies will impact the evolution of oil and gas supplies and associated water management issues.

In 1995 the Independent Petroleum Association of America was added as a partner, and in 2004 the Society of Exploration Geophysicists and American Association of Petroleum Geologists also joined as partners.
