WILMINGTON, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Delaware Park is concluding a busy year and received many awards from regional and national organizations.
“The dry-aged New York strip at At the Rail Wine Bar & Grille is a thing of beauty—perfectly aged beef grilled just so, then topped with truffle demi glace and served over blue-cheesy polenta. It’s a great spin on a classic. Did we mention Waygu beef burgers?”
The Casino at Delaware Park was honored twice In November. Washington Magazine named it one of the “Best Casinos in the Washington Region,” and Strictly Slots featured the casino in its list of “America’s Top Casinos for Slot Players.”
Earlier in the year, WeddingWire.com named White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park a winner of a 2012 Brides Choice Award. According to the wedding marketplace, its “prestigious annual awards program recognizes the best local wedding vendors from the WeddingWire Network who demonstrate excellence in quality, service, responsiveness and professionalism within the wedding industry.”
In June, Delaware Park’s At the Rail Wine Bar & Grille was named an editor’s choice by Delaware Today Magazine for “Best Beef,” when reviewers wrote, “The dry-aged New York strip at At the Rail Wine Bar & Grille is a thing of beauty—perfectly aged beef grilled just so, then topped with truffle demi glace and served over blue-cheesy polenta. It’s a great spin on a classic. Did we mention Waygu beef burgers?”
White Clay Creek Country Club was named one of the “Top Courses You Can Play” in the September issue of Golf Magazine.
Delaware Park itself was honored in October by ServiceSource’s Delaware Regional Office, which named the gaming facility its Business Partner of the Year “in recognition of their efforts to provide employment opportunities for people with disabilities.”
As previously announced, Delaware Park was also honored early this year by Goodwill Delaware and Delaware County, which named the company its 2011 Employer of the Year in recognition of Delaware Park’s integration of people with disabilities and other employment barriers into its workforce and social activities.
“We are very excited to receive such accolades,” said Delaware Park President Bill Fasy. “It is extremely satisfying to be able to tell our hard-working employees that not only do our customers appreciate their dedication but others in our region and our industry consider them among the very best.”
