“Many residents of these communities are facing months of displacement and rebuilding, employing local residents to help clean up their communities is a win-win,” said Sam Rosania of ARCADIS US. “We get highly motivated employees that may have lost their jobs due to the storm, and residents get a boost to their collective morale and the ability to return to a state of normalcy more quickly.”
Hundreds of ARCADIS employees, along with the local temporary workers, are using state-of-the-art technology to track, monitor and expedite the removal of more than 254,000 tons and 806,000 cubic yards of debris from affected communities.
“Using our HaulPass® handheld device to track and monitor every truckload of debris, we reduce fraud and increase efficiency,” said Rosania. “With accurate data from HaulPass, local municipalities can submit for FEMA reimbursement and begin to rebuild sooner.”
