HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international design, consulting, engineering and management services company, has hired more than 120 local temporary workers to help expedite its cleanup efforts as outlined in the firm’s contracts with state and local government entities. Many of these workers were previously unemployed or lost their jobs when Superstorm Sandy hit the East Coast.

Hundreds of ARCADIS employees, along with the local temporary workers, are using state-of-the-art technology to track, monitor and expedite the removal of more than 254,000 tons and 806,000 cubic yards of debris from affected communities.
“Using our HaulPass® handheld device to track and monitor every truckload of debris, we reduce fraud and increase efficiency,” said Rosania. “With accurate data from HaulPass, local municipalities can submit for FEMA reimbursement and begin to rebuild sooner.”
Additionally, ARCADIS employees have given generously this holiday season to help the communities hardest hit by Superstorm Sandy. Employees gave more than $14,000 that was fully matched by the firm, and the company made an additional donation of $22,000, for a total donation of $50,000 to the American Red Cross.
