“We are extremely pleased with reaching another accreditation milestone. We are committed to operational excellence and hold ourselves to the highest of standards in delivering care to patients,” said Stuart Frantz, President & CEO at Biologics. “The HUM accreditation further demonstrates our continued commitment to quality patient care throughout the care continuum.”
Biologics’ service platform includes Care Integration -- a comprehensive medical management program that provides clinical and financial advocacy for patients and clients. The program helps improve outcomes, reduce risk and ensure continuity of care throughout treatment and transitional care. Within the Care Integration program, a clinically relevant team will verify that treatment plans meet evidence-based guidelines and are in accordance with the medical policies of the payor.
“We applaud Biologics on achieving the URAC Health Utilization Management accreditation,” said Alan P. Spielman, URAC president and CEO. “In today’s health care market, URAC accreditation provides a mark of distinction for organizations to demonstrate their commitment to quality health care.”
The URAC HUM accreditation recognizes organizations who conduct utilization review following a clinically sound process that respects patients’ and providers’ rights while giving payors reasonable guidelines to follow. Standards address the use of evidence-based guidelines, incorporation of adherence guidelines, and evaluation of utilization rates to meet the demands of the changing health care system.
