RIVERSIDE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Twubs.com, creators of the first branded hashtag landing page and Conference and Live Event Solution for displaying a moderated Tweet Wall used by more than 20,000 organizations globally, today announced that it processed more than 1 million Tweets during the 12-12-12 Sandy Relief Concert, #121212Concert, using its new “Twubs Tweet Scroll Ticker” scheduled for full release in January 2013. Tweets were culled and presented on the ticker screen for audience viewing by partner and moderator, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. Clear Channel Media and Entertainment also used the same solution for its Jingle Ball events.
“It allowed us to bring a dynamic in-venue social element to these events in a sophisticated manner befitting the A-level talent on stage. The consumer-facing product was best in class, the admin was easy-to-use and the Twubs.com team was fantastic to work with.”
"We loved using the Twubs Tweet Scroll Ticker for 12-12-12 and the Clear Channel Jingle Ball tour," said Zena Burns, vice president of Digital Programming Platforms for Clear Channel Media + Entertainment. "It allowed us to bring a dynamic in-venue social element to these events in a sophisticated manner befitting the A-level talent on stage. The consumer-facing product was best in class, the admin was easy-to-use and the Twubs.com team was fantastic to work with."
The Twubs Tweet Scroll Ticker allows a moderated feed to scroll at a metered rate that is controlled by the event organizers. While the Twubs configuration tools provide a standard "bottom-level scroll," the solution works well with most video overlay hardware and software packages allowing the scroll to be placed anywhere on the screen. A unique feature for advertisers is the ability to insert sponsorships into the scroll bar as Tweets are presented.
“We were very excited to participate in such a historic event,” said Tony Ferraro, president and CEO of Twubs.com. “We released a BETA version of the software to specifically help the event raise money for Sandy recovery.”
In addition to providing consumer-friendly hashtag aggregation and hashtag registration, Twubs.com has been serving the live event market with "tweet to screen" technology since 2008 with a complete suite of conference and live event solutions that can be found at http://tools.twubs.com
