VANCOUVER, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Micropump today announced the release of the EagleDrive™ series, their next generation of electromagnetic pump drives.
“The EagleDrive offers a significant advantage in the areas of size, performance, and ease-of-integration over our current I-Drive and competing products. We see this drive as being a real game changer for our customers by giving them significant competitive advantage”
The EagleDrive is Micropump’s fourth generation of electromagnetic drives and represents revolutionary advancements featuring increases in speed and power in a very compact package.
Key feature improvements over drives currently available include:
- Higher speeds (up to 10,000 rpm) for higher flow rates
- Increased Torque (up to 20 oz-in) for higher flow rates with continuous duty pressures
- Smaller package size for easier system integration
The EagleDrive is available in two sizes, depending on power requirements. Both products are available in an IP-55 rated package, or unpackaged for OEM applications.
“The EagleDrive offers a significant advantage in the areas of size, performance, and ease-of-integration over our current I-Drive and competing products. We see this drive as being a real game changer for our customers by giving them significant competitive advantage,” said Alan Ruth, general manager, Micropump. “The EagleDrive integrates with most of our current line of pumps to create smaller, more effective products that are easier for customers to use and maintain.”
In 1960, Micropump developed the first magnetically driven gear pumps. These pumps eliminate the need for dynamic shaft seals, minimizing the risk of leaks and contamination. A few years later, they introduced their innovative I-Drive™ electromagnetic drive technology. The I-Drive eliminated all moving parts external to the pump chamber, thus reducing part count, increasing performance and reliability.
The EagleDrive release is the latest leap forward in Micropump’s over 50 year history of developing pump technology, illustrating a strong history of innovation.
