PLYMOUTH, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Monteris Medical Inc. (Monteris) announced today that Greg Barrett will assume the position of Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors, effective January 1st, 2013. Mr. Barrett joined Monteris’ Board in September 2012 and replaces Kevin McGarry, who will stay on as a Director. Mr. Barrett brings over 35 years of Medical Device industry experience to this position. He was most recently the President and CEO of BÂRRX Medical, a GI device company which was acquired earlier this year by Covidien. He has held senior management positions with Boston Scientific, CR Bard, Baxter, Orthofix and ACMI. He is currently on the Board of Directors for Barosense Inc. and Cutera Inc.
