LETTERKENNY, Ireland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pramerica Systems Ireland and Mulroy College in Milford have announced the launch of a mentoring programme operated under the Schools’ Business Partnership and the Student Mentoring programmes, facilitated by Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI).

“We are very grateful to the employees from Pramerica for making a two-year commitment to the students here in Mulroy College,” said Fiona Temple, Principal, Mulroy College, Milford. “The mentors will really help to focus the minds of students and to inspire them to achieve what they want from their schooling.”
Over the next two years, six Pramerica employees will mentor Fifth Year students at Mulroy to help prepare them for the transition from school to employment or to higher education. The students and mentors will meet at least one hour a month.
“Pramerica is delighted that so many of our employees have volunteered to become involved in the mentoring programme at Mulroy College,” said Emma McCleary, Human Resources Generalist at Pramerica. “The programme not only will benefit the students, but it also will give our employees the chance to develop their leadership, team-building, interpersonal and communication skills.”

Funded under the National Development Plan, The Schools’ Business Partnership (SBP) aims to match over 150 post primary schools in Ireland with a local business. Currently, 148 schools are matched.
