CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eaton Corporation plc (formally known as Eaton Corporation Limited) today announced that its indirect subsidiary, Turlock Corporation, closed the private offering of senior notes announced on November 14, 2012. The senior notes, offered under Rule 144A and outside the US to non-US persons, amounted to $4.9 billion in the aggregate with a weighted-average coupon of 2.74 percent.
The Issuer intends to use the net proceeds of the offering to fund a portion of the consideration for the proposed acquisition (the “Acquisition”) by the Issuer and Eaton Corporation (“Eaton”) of Cooper Industries plc (“Cooper”).
