ATLANTA & LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Weather Company (TWC), parent company of leading weather providers The Weather Channel, weather.com, Weather Underground, WSI and Weather Central, today announced the appointment of Patrick Vogt as president of its international division. Vogt joined the company earlier this summer when TWC acquired Weather Central, of which Vogt was CEO.

Vogt and his division will be responsible for all international business including TWC’s digital and professional products and services. All sales, marketing, and operational functions within the international regions will report to him. Vogt will be based in TWC’s UK office in London and report to TWC Chairman and CEO David Kenny.

Prior to leading Weather Central, Vogt was CEO of Datran Media (now PulsePoint) of which he currently serves as chairman of the board. Previously, he was CEO of NASDAQ-traded Enliven Marketing Technologies (Unicast). Vogt has also held senior executive posts with some of the world’s premier global brands including Sony, Dell and HP.

He is also at the forefront of the Corporate Social Responsibly (CSR) movement, and spoke on the subject at the prestigious TED 2010 Conference.
Vogt holds several board of director positions in technology and the Internet, and is founder of angel investment company Green Strategy, focused on building companies with sustainable business practices.
