WILTON, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Sun Products Corporation announced today that Carlos Linares has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Linares will be responsible for leading the Research and Development organization including product and packaging innovation and development, process engineering, quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Mr. Linares will serve as a member of the Company’s Executive Leadership Team and will be instrumental in implementing a technical strategy that aligns with the Company’s brand strategies to fuel continued growth.

Mr. Linares joins Sun Products from Johnson & Johnson where he served as Vice President, R&D Strategy and Open Innovation, developing strategy, driving innovation and building new capabilities for the Global R&D organization. In 2005, Mr. Linares joined the Alberto Culver Company, ultimately serving as Senior Vice President, R&D, Quality and Regulatory. At Alberto Culver he led the creation of a new vision for research and development and transformed the organization from follower to innovation leader that helped drive breakthrough business growth.
Mr. Linares began his career in R&D with Procter & Gamble, where his groundbreaking work in skincare science and consumer insights earned him an Organizational Effectiveness Competitive Advantage Award.
