ANCHORAGE, Alaska--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alaska Communications (NASDAQ:ALSK) has introduced 4G LTE wireless service to customers throughout Alaska, bringing customers the fastest statewide wireless data speeds. Alaska Communications’ 4G LTE network will provide speeds up to 10 times faster than current 3G wireless networks in the state and up to twice as fast as other 4G networks.

Alaska Communications has 4G service in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Homer, Kenai, Palmer, Seward, Soldotna, Wasilla and Whittier.

Alaska Communications will launch its 4G LTE network with three 4G LTE smartphones, the popular HTC OneX, Samsung Galaxy S III and Samsung Galaxy Note. The HTC OneX will retail for $199.99, Galaxy S III for $199.99 and Galaxy Note for $179.99, each with a two-year service agreement. Alaska Communications will also offer the Bandrich 4G LTE mobile broadband router, providing high-speed Internet, for $99.99 with a two-year service agreement.
