BEDFORD, Mass.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Gooch & Housego the global optical components and systems manufacturer has launched a new range of high power Fiber-in, Fiber-out (FIFO) isolators specifically for the pulsed fibre laser market. This compliments their existing portfolio of high power fiber laser components including;
- kW-class multimode fiber combiners
- Singlemode fused tap couplers and wavelength combiners
- Fiber coupled acousto-optic modulators
- Fiber end caps & mode-field adapters
- Fiber-in, Beam-out isolators
- Fiber coupled SHG modules
The FIFO isolator is used between amplification stages in high power pulsed fiber laser systems to isolate the initial lower power stages from back reflected pulses as well as parasitic lasing and is designed to operate at average powers of over 20W.
Further information about the full high power fibre laser product portfolio will be available at the SPIE Defense, Security + Sensing Symposium in Baltimore on 23rd – 27th April 2012.
