ARLINGTON, Va.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--CACI International Inc (NYSE: CACI) announced today that it has been awarded a $78 million contract to provide integration, sustainment, and deployment services in support of the U.S. Air Force Office of the Civil Engineer’s NexGen IT program to replace legacy systems with current technologies. The contract was awarded by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) under the GSA government-wide Alliant acquisition vehicle and is for a one-year base period and four option years. This is new business for CACI and expands the company’s capabilities in enterprise IT while broadening its presence in the areas of government transformation and IT modernization.

The Air Force Office of the Civil Engineer provides leadership, policies, resources, and oversight in support of the Civil Engineer (CE) team, which ensures that all Air Force buildings, structures, and utilities are maintained and combat ready. The purpose of the NexGen IT enterprise transformation program is to deliver robust mission-focused capabilities that will improve CE productivity and provide the accurate, real-time data necessary to make important strategic decisions and better manage Air Force resources.
CACI will leverage its in-depth experience with the Air Force CE community to deliver services and solutions that enhance Air Force infrastructure support. Since CACI began supporting the Air Force Civil Engineer Support Agency in 2006, it has successfully integrated several types of information systems and deployed them to more than 160 sites. With NexGen IT, CACI will continue to apply best practices and standards to modernize mission-critical Air Force CE systems in 15 functional areas, including real estate and housing management.
