WOODRIDGE, Ill.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Elevance Renewable Sciences, Inc. announced today that W.D. (Don) Johnson, former senior vice president, human resources and member of the office of the CEO at DuPont, has joined Elevance’s board of directors.

Johnson served at DuPont in various international and domestic leadership roles for 36 years before his retirement in December 2010. This included his role as group vice president for global operations and engineering where he was responsible for all DuPont manufacturing and engineering, after leading DuPont’s global Nylon business.
As vice president and general manager, Johnson led DuPont’s Global Kevlar® and Nomex® businesses. He guided DuPont’s Japanese wholly owned and joint venture businesses, while resident there. And, earlier in his career, he led DuPont’s European Kevlar®, Nomex®, Tyvek®, Sontara®, and Typar® businesses.

Don Johnson received a Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics and Master of Science and PhD in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University.
Johnson currently serves on the Board of Directors for Christiana Care Health Systems, the leading provider of health systems in Delaware.
