Baruch College Ranked at #25 among Best Colleges in Region, According to U.S. News & World Report

Baruch’s Zicklin School of Business Ranked Among Top Fifty Business Programs Nationwide

NEW YORK--()--Achieving its highest ranking ever in U.S. News & World Report’s annual college rankings, Baruch College was placed at #25 on the magazine’s 2011 “Best Regional Universities” list that was announced today. Ranked among other “best universities” in the North that provide a full range of both undergraduate majors and master’s programs, Baruch College climbed more than 10 places over its ranking last year of #36. The College’s Zicklin School of Business also soared to #42 from last year’s #57 spot on the national “Best Undergraduate Business Programs” rankings.

Confirming its reputation for having a student body as varied as the city of New York in which it is located, Baruch College ranked #2 this year on the list of “Most Ethnically Diverse Colleges” in the country. According to U.S. News & World Report, this list highlights the colleges where “students are most likely to encounter undergraduates different from themselves.”

Several factors are considered by U.S. News & World Report when compiling its “best colleges” rankings, including: peer assessment; graduation and retention rates; faculty resources; student selectivity; financial resources; and alumni giving.
