Lauer as Vice President of Finance and Edward J. Wegener as Vice President of Operations. Both Lauer and Wegener will be integral members of the SOLON Corporation executive team, strengthening the company’s strategic and financial growth while maintaining superior efficiency and performance across the organization.

Lauer brings 16 years of corporate finance and lean manufacturing experience from Fortune 500 companies to his role at SOLON. Most recently, Lauer was CFO at Securaplane, a subsidiary of Danaher Corporation. During his tenure, Lauer was instrumental in cost optimization initiatives and in substantially improving capital efficiency. Prior to that, Lauer held executive finance positions at organizations in the fiber optic and gaming industries, where he led financing and sales-leaseback activities, and where he was a catalyst in driving growth.
Wegener has 25 years of management experience in the solar and solar glass industries. He previously served as Manager of AGC North America’s Solar Glass Business Unit where he held a P&L responsibility for the unit. He oversaw development and commercialization of several new products for the crystalline silicon, thin film and CSP markets. Prior to that, Wegener managed AGC’s coating operation in Abingdon, VA, and held various general and operations management positions for Minneapolis based Apogee Enterprises Inc.
