The Digiday Signal awards honor technology platforms that bring efficiency, effectiveness and creativity to the media and marketing processes for brands, agencies and publishers. Quotient launched Retailer iQ three years ago to give retailers and consumer packaged goods brands a way to digitally engage with their customers, primarily through mobile devices. The platform, which connects with point-of-sale systems and analyzes enormous amounts of data in real time, is now used by leading grocery, drug, dollar, club and mass retailers, including Albertsons Companies, Dollar General, Walgreens and Ahold Delhaize. The platform helps Quotient’s partners influence millions of shoppers every day by delivering relevant and targeted promotions, personalized media messages, digital circulars and more — all with a goal of driving profitable sales and building customer loyalty.

Shoppers receive personalized offers and more through retailer mobile apps and websites or through Quotient’s Coupons.com app. Quotient uses a mix of proprietary purchase data as well as online behavior data to deliver the right content to the right person at the right time.

Growth on Retailer iQ has been robust, with about 50 million shoppers — roughly 40% of all U.S. households — now registered to digital-savings programs powered by the platform. That’s up from 40 million at the end of 2016.
