M Science Launches M Analysis on Global Lodging Industry; M Data to Launch in September 2017

Firm Introduces RevPAR and Occupancy Trend Data Analysis of Six Major Lodging Brands Across the Industry

NEW YORK--()--M Science, the leader and pioneer in data driven research and analytics, today announced the launch of its global lodging industry coverage. The firm will leverage its transaction dataset and proprietary technology to predict domestic RevPAR (revenue per available room), track hotel-level ADR (average daily rate) and analyze geographic and brand-level trends. The M Data product on Lodging will be available for clients in September 2017.

In addition to Theme Parks and Cruiselines, Byrne Hobart, M Science Senior Analyst, will cover Lodging, leveraging his financial services experience as both a producer and consumer of data driven analytics. Additionally, Byrne will launch analysis on Airlines in the near future.

M Science will track the evolving hotel cycle by looking at rates by hotel category and following consumer spending; analyze the impact of OTAs (online travel aggregators), Airbnb and industry consolidation; and evaluate domestic and global accommodation segments, from hostels to upscale lodging. The firm will initially cover six major industry brands: Choice Hotels International Inc., Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc, Hyatt Hotels Inc., InterContinental Hotels Inc., Marriott International Inc. and Wyndham Worldwide Inc.

This new offering complements M Science’s current product suite of M Analysis and M Data which cover over 325 companies and sub brands across U.S. Consumer, European Consumer and TMT.
