Brian Billings Named Midwest Employers Casualty’s Vice President of Predictive Analytics

ST. LOUIS--()--Midwest Employers Casualty announced today the promotion of Brian Billings to Vice President of Predictive Analytics.

“This practice is a big part of our future and our value proposition to our clients and we are excited to have someone of Brian’s caliber leading it”

As the Midwest Employers Casualty strategy evolved from data acquisition to leveraging data assets, Mr. Billings led the effort to deploy machine learning technology for the early identification of high-risk workers’ compensation claims.

“Our goal was to utilize the data to identify potential large-losses and alert a claims professional before claims escalated,” Mr. Billings said.

In addition to his current responsibilities, Mr. Billings is now tasked with expanding the reach of this technology to include more of Midwest Employers Casualty’s clients and business partners.

“This practice is a big part of our future and our value proposition to our clients and we are excited to have someone of Brian’s caliber leading it,” said Timothy Galvin, president of Midwest Employers Casualty.

With more than 20 years of technology experience in industries including banking, investment services, insurance services and healthcare, including the last eight years with Midwest Employers Casualty, Mr. Billings is at the forefront of how the excess workers’ compensation industry will utilize data going forward.

Formerly, Billings was the director of business analytics for Midwest Employers Casualty. He has a bachelor of science and a juris doctor degree from Saint Louis University. He is licensed to practice law in the states of Missouri and Tennessee.
