WEAR 2017 Conference to Bring Together the Biggest Names in the Smart Fabrics and Wearable Tech Industry

AKRON, Ohio--()--Smithers Apex’s WEAR 2017 conference, the longest-running conference dedicated to smart fabrics, wearable technology, material innovation and the business of consumer experience, is bringing together some of the biggest names in industry next month in San Francisco, June 12-14, 2017.

Attracting an A-list of companies, WEAR 2017 will bring together technology companies, wearable technology developers and manufacturers, apparel and fashion companies, supply side companies to the tech and textile industries, independent fashion designers, consultants, governmental agencies and academia.

With confirmed speakers from Google, adidas, Patagonia, Facebook and lululemon; WEAR 2017 will also bring together representatives from Nike, Hanes Brands, Microsoft, P&G, Smartwool, Simmons Bedding and Cotton Inc., all of whom will be joining the nearly 300 attendees.

Additionally, a new component at WEAR 2017 will include 15 minute, one-on-one mentoring sessions during the Tuesday evening networking reception, sponsored by adidas.

During these sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with selected mentors such as Beth Macdonald, VP Business Development, Dragon Innovation; Stacey Burr, VP General Manager, adidas Digital Sport; Stacy Flynn, CEO & Co-founder, EVRNU; Despina Papadopoulos, Founder, Principled Design and others who are experts smart fabrics, branding and innovation.
