CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Toshiba America Energy Systems Corporation (TAES) has appointed Frank Avery Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Thermal Services, reporting to Fumio Otani, interim TAES President and CEO. Avery will oversee all thermal services functions including the shared services organization from the company’s service center in West Allis, Wisconsin.
Prior to joining TAES, Avery served for several years as President of the Power Plant Services division of EthosEnergy, which was formed as a joint venture between Wood Group and TurboCare/Siemens. As President, he had full P&L accountability of the division, which is the largest in EthosEnergy with more than 3,500 employees worldwide.
Prior to that role, Avery served as President of the former Wood Group Power Plant Services, following a role as President of Wood Group Power Operations, Inc., the first start-up company in Wood Group's history, which he was responsible for establishing. Before joining Wood Group, Avery spent two years as COO for Power Industry Consultants, Inc., in Atlanta, Georgia, and his experience also includes various roles of increasing responsibility at General Electric’s Contractual Services business, Stewart & Stevenson Operations, Inc, and more than six years as a Gas Turbine Systems Electrician in the United States Navy.
