NEW YORK--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--RapidRatings International, creator of the Financial Health Rating (FHR®), announces the appointment of Peter Murray as Managing Director, Supply Chain Risk & Resilience. Murray is responsible for growing the value and use of supply chain analytics and advisory across global, Fortune 2000 companies.
“When assessing and mitigating the risk of disruption, the highest probability indicator is a supplier’s financial health. The FHR enables companies to build supply resilience and significantly strengthen supplier relationships. The reliable forward horizon of 12-18 months gives companies a competitive advantage in our increasingly uncertain times”
Murray brings 25 years of experience in supply chain innovation and leadership. Throughout his career, Murray has been first and foremost a pioneer and innovator for, in his own words, “looking over the horizon and iterating toward better outcomes,” for business and supply chain management. Most recently, he led market development at Black Box Solutions for predictive supply chain analytics. In leadership roles at DuPont, Dow Chemical, and as a consultant Murray drove transformational change and performance through IBP (Integrated Business Planning), Demand Management, SCOR based processes, and financial integration across the end-to-end supply chain.
“When assessing and mitigating the risk of disruption, the highest probability indicator is a supplier’s financial health. The FHR enables companies to build supply resilience and significantly strengthen supplier relationships. The reliable forward horizon of 12-18 months gives companies a competitive advantage in our increasingly uncertain times,” said Murray.
“Peter’s leadership and vast experience in industries including chemicals, material science, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, fashion, automotive and others, will drive innovative solutions for our global client base,” said David Barton, RapidRatings’ Chief Revenue Officer. “His expertise on the world’s leading supply chain framework, the Supply Chain Operations Reference model (SCOR), further empowers RapidRatings to help clients increase operational efficiency and supply chain resilience. We are excited to have him on board.”
Murray will continue as a thought leader and innovator for the supply chain profession. He will write his regular column for APICS Magazine and engage widely as an APICS.org SCC (Supply Chain Council) SCOR Master Instructor and development contributor for SCOR Version 12.
