LOS ANGELES--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Newegg, the leading tech-focused e-retailer in North America, today unveiled its plans for the 2017 PAX East Game Festival, which runs March 10-12 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. This year Newegg is teaming with Intel to help attendees experience the latest in virtual reality (VR) and other gaming technology. Highlights include:
Virtual Reality Demos
The Newegg/Intel booth will feature four VR spaces where attendees can demo the HTC Vive and Oculus VR. Visit the booth and sign up to demo some of the latest VR games, including Arizona Sunshine and Sprint Vector.
Call of Duty Leaderboard Challenge
Steve Vasquez will moderate the Call of Duty Leaderboard Challenge. Registered participants will compete for their share of 15 prizes awarded each day, ranging from gaming peripherals to computer components. Competition slots are limited, information about tournament registration will be available at the Newegg/Intel booth.
Free Play for Attendees
Newegg will feature a bank of laptops for attendees to test their skills on Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2, while Intel will feature a variety of games running on desktop computers with three-monitor setups for a truly immersive gaming experience.
Newegg will host “The State of PC Gaming” panel discussion on March 11 at 4:30pm in the Albatross Theater. Panelists from Intel, AMD, HTC, Corsair and Quake Championships will discuss the past year in PC gaming, the state of virtual reality, predictions for the future and what makes PC gaming special. Panel attendees will be eligible to win their own VR rig, comprised of a $2,000 Corsair system and an HTC Vive (must collect raffle ticket when arriving and be present to win). Visitors to the welcome desk who complete their Intel sign-up cards will be in the running for a daily stash of product giveaways. At 3pm on Friday, March 10 and Saturday, March 11, Newegg will raffle off dozens of great tech products, including Intel SSDs, HyperX Keyboards, Rosewill peripherals and Thrustmaster joysticks. Attendees must be present to win.
Racing Drones Take Flight

More Attendee Competitions
Newegg’s meeting room #106 will host an invite-only Hearthstone tournament, as well as a PS4 build challenge. The Hearthstone tournament’s top four daily winners will receive Huawei Mate 9 phones, with the grand prize winner also receiving a gaming chair from Nobilechairs, plus an assortment of Rosewill gaming peripherals. The PS4 build challenge’s grand prize includes a PS4 and an SSHD. Attendees wishing to compete in either event can sign up onsite at meeting room #106.
