THE WOODLANDS, Texas--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--AmSty announced that it currently expects a styrene outage at its St. James, LA, facility to extend into the Second Quarter to complete repairs on critical equipment. “We are working to bring full styrene production back on line as safely and quickly as possible,” said Bradley Crocker, President and Chief Executive Officer. “In the meantime this affects about half of our styrene production. We are currently working with our styrene customers to assure adequate supply. At this point we do not expect significant effect to our downstream polystyrene production.”
