BOSTON--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Hexadite, provider of the first agentless intelligent security automation platform, today announced that Jon Miller, Chief Research Officer at Cylance is joining its Advisory Board. A noted cybersecurity research expert, Miller will assist Hexadite in further extending its lead as the dominant player in the emerging security automation market.
“How many companies can claim to have an advisor that has been profiled on 60 Minutes, Rolling Stone magazine, and a Reddit AMA?”
Jon Miller is the Chief Research Officer at Cylance, a company using machine learning to reinvent endpoint protection by proactively stopping attacks before they manifest in a system. Cylance AI analyzes statistically similar blocks of code to identify benign and malicious files with predictive analytics.
Prior to joining Cylance, Miller ran the largest information security research and consulting team as the youngest member of Accuvant’s (now Optiv) executive team. Miller has delivered classified briefings to the U.S. House of Representatives, and the U.S. Senate, has been called a SSL expert by the Huffington Post, and “a super smart Chris Farley” by Rolling Stone Magazine.
“It’s incredibly exciting for me to announce Jon as the newest member of our advisory board. As one of the most respected minds in cybersecurity, Jon has built a reputation for being at the forefront of information security innovation,” said Eran Barak, CEO and co-founder of Hexadite. “How many companies can claim to have an advisor that has been profiled on 60 Minutes, Rolling Stone magazine, and a Reddit AMA?”
“The cybersecurity capacity problem is real,” said Miller. “Let’s take AV signatures as just one example. Currently the security world is under attack. According to the independent AV-test.org there are 390K samples that come out daily, that’s 12 million a month or 144 Million a year – that we know of and what is reported. This is a volume that people can’t handle. Companies like Hexadite that harness the power of AI to determine what is a threat and what is not are changing the way organizations approach incident response and give scale to their information security teams, enabling the defenders to finally get a step ahead of the attackers. I’m excited to be involved as an advisor.”
