KITCHENER, Ontario--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Mappedin, the leading indoor mapping SaaS platform, today announced it has teamed up with Simon (NYSE: SPG), a global leader in retail real estate, to deploy dynamic digital maps at over 200 Simon shopping center locations. The demand for greater digital capabilities at retail locations, paired with the need for shopper efficiency, prompted Simon to implement Mappedin’s platform, enhancing the overall shopping experience. Simon’s regional Malls, Mills, and Premium Outlets now offer a fully-integrated solution provided by Mappedin, inclusive of optimized search functionality, efficient turn-by-turn navigation, and an easy to manage platform enabling real-time updates. Mappedin’s 3D digital maps can be found on Simon’s website and are currently in select in-mall digital directories, enabling shoppers to easily search, discover, and navigate.
“It’s our responsibility to provide the best shopping experience to our customers and equip our property managers with the tools they need to be successful. Mappedin’s solution simplifies the path to purchase by enabling customers to find what they need with speed and ease”
“eCommerce is changing customer preferences, and shoppers expect the same immediacy, ease, and convenience delivered through online shopping while in a physical mall. At the same time, consumers are still eager for in-store experiences that allow them to socialize, interact with products, and speak to knowledgeable associates prior to purchase, making retail as relevant as ever,” said Hongwei Liu, Co-founder and CEO, Mappedin. “For mall owners and operators to achieve balance, they must be willing to adopt new technologies that pair the physical and digital experiences to achieve ultimate customer satisfaction. We’re excited to bring our indoor mapping solution to Simon to help guests search, discover, and navigate their malls quickly and efficiently, ultimately increasing sales and building loyalty.”
As underlying changes in retail are constant, maintaining maps at the store level is challenging and leaves room for inaccuracies. Mappedin’s content management system and editor tools provide efficiencies that enable Simon’s local property management teams to make ongoing changes at scale, a process that was traditionally manual, time consuming, and costly.
“It’s our responsibility to provide the best shopping experience to our customers and equip our property managers with the tools they need to be successful. The easy to use platform allows our team to make immediate updates to maps based on store changes, seasonal promotions, and special events. We’re continually investing in technologies such as Mappedin to ensure our centers deliver a digitally driven shopping experience.”
