“Safety is a top priority for us”
Consumers should stop using the 2nd generation Dual+ Boosted board and contact Boosted for a free replacement battery pack. “Safety is a top priority for us,” said Boosted CEO and co-founder Sanjay Dastoor. “Out of concern for our community’s safety and our belief in product integrity, we halted the shipment and production of boards immediately and began an investigation, working nonstop to isolate a short circuit in the electronics as the cause. We are now working with the CPSC and Health Canada to recall the battery packs. Since the incidents, we have added design and quality control changes that make our battery pack more robust and reliable than ever before. We’re sorry for the inconvenience to our customers, and are looking forward to getting them riding again soon.”
