Bidding will be available January 14—January 28 exclusively on Proxibid.
“The vehicle holds a special place in the history of the museum, and is also a rare gem that collector car enthusiasts will be excited to know is available for sale. We are proud to offer the vehicle to interested bidders around the world through Proxibid’s best-in-class online bidding platform.”
Before the Omaha Children’s Museum was a brick-and-mortar staple of the Omaha community, a group volunteers loaded up the back of a station wagon with art supplies and science activities and offered learning opportunities under the name of Omaha Children’s Museum. Volunteers drove the packed station wagon to local malls and area attractions where families would be looking for free educational activities, which ultimately led to the creation of the Omaha Children’s Museum as it exists today. The vehicle for auction is akin to the original – a 1976 Dodge Aspen “Woody” Wagon with a V8 engine, green exterior and beige interior.
“This 1976 Dodge Aspen is of great significance to the Omaha Children’s Museum as it is similar to the vehicle in which the museum was founded,” said Lindy Hoyer, Executive Director of Omaha Children's Museum. “The vehicle holds a special place in the history of the museum, and is also a rare gem that collector car enthusiasts will be excited to know is available for sale. We are proud to offer the vehicle to interested bidders around the world through Proxibid’s best-in-class online bidding platform.”
